 Mission Statement

 Monroe College

The Computer Information Systems Department teaches students to apply what they have learned and solve practical business problems by creating applications that support the problem-solving and decision-making needs of the corporate community.

Our mission can be accomplished through five interrelated goals

Prepare students for rewarding professional careers in information technology fields.

Provide excellence in Computer Education by teaching on State-of-the-Art Equipment and continually revising the curriculum to support the most popular and widely-used computer software

Have professors set the tone for how students should conduct themselves professionally, socially, and ethically.

Have our professors attend both faculty development seminars to make them better educators and technical training conferences to allow them to keep up with the latest technology changes

Graduate students who are ready to take on the challenges of the business world, and who can show employers that what they have learned at Monroe makes them attractive and valuable employees.
